13 eruptions of Mount Anak Krakatau occurred since last night until this morning

Based on information from the Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation (PVMBG), Friday (01/04/2019), the eruption occurred 13 times between 00.00-06.00 WIB.

The duration of the eruption is 40-110 seconds with an amplitude of 15-22 mm.

"Continuous tremor (microtremor) is recorded with an amplitude of 2-21 mm (dominant 6 mm)," PVMBG wrote on its official website.

PVMBG explains the air temperature around Mount Anak Krakatau reaches 25-26 ° C with air humidity 91-94%.

"The mountain is clear. Medium pressure crater smoke is observed in white with thick intensity and is 1,000 m high above the crater peak. The level of activity of Gunung Anak Krakatau level III (standby)," explained PVMBG.

"People / tourists are not allowed to approach the crater within a radius of 5 km from the crater," he added.
